People really need to take advantage of the opportunities thrown right in front of their faces. Don’t take training for granted because there are way more people who would be way more than grateful for the opportunities you’ve been presented with.
A lot of times I notice that people don’t like the things I do or the things I say.
But if there’s anything I’ve learned these 24 long ass years of life, its if someone doesn’t like the way you are, then fuck it. If they don’t like you for the things you do, they don’t like you for the person you are and you should never have to change yourself or your personality just to please someone.
A voice in this community once told me when I was at my lowest of lows and just feeling lonely,
“You shouldn’t have to try too hard to be yourself.
If you are trying too hard (which I think you’re doing), then you’re not really being honest with yourself. Embrace what you really like and accept what you don’t like. Knowing those differences will solidify your self-perception, and hey - you might even gain a sense of self-respect, which is the most important thing to have at this point in our lives.”
To that person, and I’m sure you know who you are, thank you for your wise words, and I want you to know, I have never been happier with the people around me in my life.
